Getting Started Account Shopping Delivery How do I make a purchase from Warwick University Bookshop ?

When you have found what you want (for search methods click on "How do I find the title I want?")  click on the title or image to bring up the full entry. To add the item to your 'shopping basket' simply click 'Add to Basket'.  Click on 'checkout' to complete your purchase, or continue browsing to add further items. Before going to checkout make sure you have selected your preferred delivery method.

What sort of products can I buy from Warwick University Bookshop ?

Books, Warwick Branded gifts and clothing, and a wide range of giftware. 

We do not sell secondhand books online, please visit the Bookshop to see our range of secondhand books.

How do I add to my shopping basket ?

To add to your shopping basket click 'add to basket' in the full entry for your chosen title.  To delete items in your basket tick the item you wish to remove and click the 'delete' button. The number on order may be altered using the quantity box.

How do I track the progress of my order?

Registered users of Warwick University Bookshop online can track the progress of their order by clicking on the "MY ORDERS" link at the top of the screen.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, your order may be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch: please notify us as soon as possible by e-mail, telephone or fax. If your order has already been dispatched you can return it following the procedures shown in 'Can I return my order?' below.

Can I return my order?

At warwickbooks.com we provide a guarantee the items you purchase will reach you in a good condition. If, for any reason you find that the order we have dispatched does not meet your expected standards, we will refund it in full, subject, subject to you returning the order, as is, back to us (please see contact us details). If you believe that any item you have received is damaged or faulty in any way, we will replace that particular item provided that you contact us within seven working days of receiving your order. Depending on the specific order placed warwickbooks.com reserves the right to request the customer to return the items. Furthermore, under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. Please email us with your instructions (including Order Number, sent in your email) and you will receive and e-mail confirming your cancellation. Shipping and handling expense are not subject to refund unless the item was damaged or we shipped you the wrong project. In such an event, we will absorb the costs to send you the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How quickly will my order arrive ?

If the books are currently in stock, your order will be dispatched within 24 hours. If the books are out of stock delivery time varies from 10-14 days. Please note sometimes publishing circumstances can extend delivery times past an expected date.

Is it safe to use my credit or debit card ? 

All credit card payments made via the web site are handled by a third party e-commerce company called RBS WorldPay (part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group) and they have their own privacy statement. At no time during the process does Warwick University Bookshop come into contact with customer card details.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit/debit cards, book tokens and as well as credit card orders via the web-site, you can place orders via post (paper mail), fax or phone - we cannot accept payment by cheque.

We accept all major Credit and Debit Cards.

When you have filled your shopping basket click 'checkout'. If you have not already logged in you will be asked to enter your e-mail address and password. When you have filled in your personal details you will be connected to the  orderline form. Select your preferred payment method and click 'Continue my order' to be connected to our secure server. Only then will you be asked to enter your credit card details.

How do I find the title I want ?

Search boxes will be found at the top of most pages on the site. Enter a keyword or words in the box and click 'SEARCH'.

  • ISBN Search
    If you know the ISBN or EAN of the title you are looking for, enter it in the ISBN/code box and click 'Search' (an ISBN will have 10 or 13 digits, but other codes with up to 13 characters may be entered). An ISBN/EAN search will find only the title uniquely identified by that number.
  • Search by other features
    If you do not know the ISBN of the title you are looking for, you can search for it using keywords(s) in the following fields:  Title, Author. You need not use more than one of these fields. Using several fields will narrow down your search, but bear in mind that if any one of your keywords is wrong the system will fail to find a match, even if the others are correct.  A combination of keywords in the Author and Title fields is enough for most specific searches. You can also browse by Category using the drop down menu and clicking SEARCH.

How do I create an account?

To process your orders, we need to set up an account for you first. Having an account will enable you to place orders faster and more easily and track your orders online. Your e-mail address and password are the keys to your Customer Account; they must be entered before any information can be accessed.

You can create your account either at Checkout or in advance, if more convenient. Here's how:

  • When you have finished shopping and are ready to check out, you'll be prompted to Create your Account. (Or, before you shop, you can click on the Log In/Register New Account, link at every page and go directly to Your Account. There you will see the opportunity to register and Create your Account.)
  • Next you will be prompted to enter your email address in the field provided as well as a password and password hint. (If you ever forget your password there is a link here to help you, - or just contact us if this happens).
  • When you've finished shopping and are ready, Continue to Checkout, you may be asked to enter your email address and password again, if you haven't already done so.
  • On the final screen, where the payment options are displayed, click on Continue to Checkout and you will be connected to the RBS WorldPay (part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group) secure server to enter your billing and credit card information.

How do I change my password and e-mail address ?

Click Login In/Register link. In login form enter your e-mail address and password. If you have already logged in enter your password only and click 'Login'. In the profile screen change your e-mail address and password. When you have completed your changes click 'Update' to confirm alterations.

Can I change my communication address?

Yes, you can. Click log in link at the top right of every page. Enter your login details. In the profile screen, you can change your communication address, your currency and also your login details. When you have finished your changes click 'Update' to update into our database.

Why did I get 'No Items Found!' ?  Is there something wrong with my Search?

This message might be displayed for any of the following reasons.

  • Some terms are excluded from searches,
    • Any single character
    • Any of the following words:  And, are, as, at, for, in, is, it, of, on, the, this, was, with
  • You may have used the ISBN/EAN for an old edition. Search again using keywords.
  • Our database currently holds details of around 500,000 items but it is not exaustive. If you cannot find what you are looking for please email us using the Connect Us page
  • There are no titles in print matching your keywords.
